Abstract
This paper presents a fuzzy image restoration/segmentation technique whose application is intended for a class of digital images where the object of interest is one continuous `strand≫CLOSE ´. Specifically, the problem of image `drop-out´ is discussed, and a method to reconstruct the missing borders in images of shattered glass is developed
