Abstract
A two-dimensional construction method is introduced into key transport and entity authentication mechanisms based on symmetric encryption. Instead of sharing secret key K between two parties, A and B share a secret spot P0 on the two-dimensional space, and then generate new key W to encrypt messages for the use of key transport or authentication every time. Without adding new messages and computational load for the two parties, the improved mechanisms achieve a higher security level. Furthermore, the improved mechanisms can be easily extended into multiple parties.
