Abstract
P2P services develop rapidly in Internet where the P2P traffic has surpassed Web. Providing P2P services in the mobile network is becoming a big opportunity but also challenge for mobile operators. Considering both characteristics of mobile network and P2P mode, the architecture of HIKEC, an IMS-based mobile P2P file sharing service, is proposed in this paper. The hybrid Napster + Chord overlay network with good scalability is implemented. The IMS-based infrastructure is discussed. Standard SIP protocol is used as the control signaling enabling quick deployment in IMS and guaranteeing the continuity of mobile P2P service.
