Abstract
In this paper, based on the method of moments (MOM) associated with the Rao-Wilton-Glisson basis function, we apply the barycentric subdivision (BS) method and the equivalent dipole-moment (EDM) method in computing the impedance matrix elements. The bistatic radar cross sections of conductor plate and sphere computed by these two methods are compared. The numerical results are both in good agreement with that obtained by the method of moments, and the filling time of the impedance matrix is reduced considerably. And the matrix elements can be filled faster by the BS method than by the EDM method, whereas, the accuracy of the BS method is less than that of the EDM method.
