Abstract
We have synthesized and studied a series of composite silver-polymer photonic metamaterials with composition-tunable electric permittivity epsiv. The demonstrated value epsivpsila = 12.8 at lambda = 2.4 mum appears to be the highest in the near-to-mid-IR spectral range.
