Abstract :
This paper presents an efficient method for analyzing the performance of dielectric radomes illuminated by phased array antennas with wide scanning angles using volume integral equation based on the method of moment (VIE-MoM). A concise relationship between the unknown electric density flux of VIE-MoM and the scanning angle is derived and applied to avoid repeatedly solving the large matrix equation generated by VIE-MoM. Numerical results demonstrate that the computational efficiency can be significantly improved by the proposed approach for the wide scanning problems.
