  • Abstract
    A method is presented which permits the investigation of negative-resistance, multiple-tuned, oscillating frequency-converters (sub super-, or supersub-harmonic injection-locked oscillators of high order) under large-signal operation. It is based on a perturbation-refined dynamical phasor-domain approach, which extends to transient analysis the advantages of steady-state Harmonic Balance techniques (computational efficiency and designer-friendly variables). Results reported on a double-tuned test circuit demonstrate that good simulation accuracy is also obtained
