Abstract :
In this paper an improved virtual chamber for in-situ radiated emissions measurement is developed. Virtual chamber test system is a method for electromagnetic interference (EMI) measurement which is based on suppressing ambient signals from a signal containing radiated emissions of the equipment under test (EUT) and ambient signals from the circumstance. Nevertheless, this technique is based on the assumption that the ambient signals are either time asymmetrical or space asymmetrical. Thus, the ambient signals are saltation in time. Moreover, the ambient signals are not symmetrical in reality. We present an improved virtual chamber test system that combined the time sharing measurement and time synchronized measurement. This system can remove the time asymmetrical and space asymmetrical of the ambient signals, so it can be more practicality in in-situ radiated emissions measurement.
