Abstract :
In this paper, we are concerned with the analysis of system reconfigurability. A system is considered as a set of interconnected components. Considered from an external viewpoint, each component provides services to users (human operator or other system components). Component level services are composed so as to provide higher level (system level) services. Services are run on receipt of a specific request. A higher level service corresponds to a parallel/sequential composition of lower level ones. Possible request sequences are modelised as words of a vocabulary formed from the vocabulary associated to the lower level requests. Their analysis allows to study the system reconfigurability
