Abstract
Summary form only given. We successfully demonstrated the implementation of an intracavity optically addressed liquid-crystal light valve in a laser beam shaping system. The laser cavity shows its ability to handle high spatial frequencies by generating 20/sup th/ order supergaussian square or circular profiles. Thanks to a computer assisted addressing, and a dynamic control of the phase transmitted by the LCLV, the system can also easily switch from one profile to the other.
