Abstract :
In this paper, mean-square stabilization of the LTI systems with feed-back through digital communication channel is studied. According to the quantization and packet loss over the digital channel, the networked control system is stabilized by a linear matrix inequality (LMI) based controller, with which searching for the coarsest quantization density is converted to feasibility problems. The trade-off between quantization density and packet loss rate that ensures system stabilizable is discussed and the design method of the controller is given. Based on the controller, a necessary condition for the upper bound of the truncation to practically stabilize the system with digital feed-back is developed. A numerical example demonstrates the algorithm working on a system over digital channel feed-back.
