Abstract :
An algorithm is presented for a discrete model-reference adaptive controller for a system, in which the number of inputs is equal to the number of outputs. This controller, an extension of a single-input scheme due to R. Lozano and Y.D. Landau (1981), provides correct tracking of reference model outputs by plant outputs, together with freedom of choice of output error transient response. The use of the algorithm is demonstrated for the demanding instance of decoupling.<>
