Abstract
This is a summary in support of a presentation by the authors on various issues surrounding the deployment of distributed generation (DG) on US electric power systems. This is a survey of the numerous issues both driving and inhibiting the acceptance of DG. While DG may not be the panacea many envision, it certainly has a place. In this presentation, the authors sort through the real and perceived issues of DG from an ´in the trenches´ perspective to increase understanding of the economic and technical issues.
