Abstract :
Ad-hoc sensor networks (ASNs) are ad-hoc mobile networks that consist of sensor nodes with limited computation and communication capabilities. In order to protect communication security among sensor nodes, a cryptographic method is needed by ad-hoc sensor networks. Most ad-hoc sensor networks are deployed in groups to perform tasks. A group-based key management (GBKM) scheme has been proposed to extend random key pre-distribution schemes (RPS). In this paper, we compare the performance of the GBKM and RPS by further simulations and mathematic analysis [further - this doesn ´t quite fit here.
