Abstract :
A new approach with which we can control YTO and synchronization is introduced in this paper. This new approach takes advantage of the characteristics of FPGA (such as high speed and stability, etc.) to regulate the output frequency of YTO smartly and control the synchronization between different modules precisely. The experiment proved that this approach can meet the requirements of super-heterodyne high-speed real-time test measurements by downloading different FPGA program. The approach has been successfully used in communication analyzer; meanwhile, it can be extended to the microwave radio frequency spectrum analyzer, frequency synthesizer and signal generator module.
