Abstract :
One of the main objectives of third generation radio systems is to achieve a fast and efficient access to Internet. Nowadays, Internet traffic is made mostly of Web traffic. In 1997, a WWW traffic model was proposed by ETSI for UMTS evaluations. However, this model has been questioned in a previous work where an alternative approach was presented: the Page-Oriented Model. In this paper, computed-generated traces, obtained from both models, are compared with real traffic traces, by means of three usual self-similarity tests, in order to find out which model provides a better description of real WWW traffic
