Abstract
Summary from only given. We report a high power picosecond synchronously pumped periodically poled LiNbO/sub 3/ optical parametric oscillator continuously tunable between 1.7 and 2.841 /spl mu/m. Up to 7.7 W signal at 1.85 /spl mu/m and 4.7 W. Idler radiation at 2.5 /spl mu/m is simultaneously extracted from 17.7 W average pump power at 1.064 /spl mu/m, corresponding to a total external efficiency of 70%.
