Abstract
Summary form only given. Wind power economics have improved dramatically, primarily as a result of economics of scale in the size of the turbines and the projects. Growth in wind turbine size and resulting reduction in power cost are driven by technological advances in design and operation of wind turbines. Project economics have resulted from large-scale development, financing, and construction of wind projects of capacity exceeding 100 Megawatt.
