Abstract :
In the analysis of electric circuits, the estimation and calculation of the initial conditions requires very complex concepts for the performance of simulators. In this article a temporary program called VSTP is developed for the simulation of transient phenomena. The simulator gives the solutions to the limitations of EMTP for the treatment of numerical oscillations and the readjustment of initial conditions. It is used to analyse the transient and steady states of electric circuits composed of arbitrary interconnection of diverse elements. The author proposes a new idea and concept of an algorithm for calculating the steady state regime of circuits allowing for sources of different frequencies. The method is based on the principle of superposition and the technique of phasors. The simulations performed are realised, and exact results are obtained in comparison to EMTP which confirm the efficiency of the proposed method
