Abstract
This paper presents a digital watermarking scheme based on NMF (negative matrix factorization), focusing on resisting to strong cropping attack. The watermark is embedded into the basis matrix on behalf of the basic characteristics of the host carrier for the first time, the theoretical analysis result shows that the scheme may obtain intelligence and resist cropping; The watermark embedding intensity is adaptively adjusted by comparison of the PSNR (power signal-to-noise ratio) between the original image and the synthetic image; Experimental results show that the proposed watermarking scheme can resist not only cropping attacks, but also some common watermarking attacks, such as JPEG compression, median filtering, Wiener filtering, salt and pepper noise, Gaussian noise etc. It is blind watermarking scheme.
