Abstract :
The sensor networks will face the problem of ‘The efficient interoperability of large scale heterogeneous network’ during the high-speed development of varied sensor deployment and information transmission. In this paper, we introduce the natural bottleneck between mass sensor information and existing transport network and put forward the concept of aggregation layer in sensor networks, and also the mechanism of sensor information processing and data fusion in aggregation layer. The introduction of embedded gateway equipment that can provide front-end processing and analysis of sensor information can be used to implement a unified data-aware, multiple access, universal transmission and data fusion, which is the kernel device and physical component of aggregation layer. The standard architecture of the sensor networks gateway is proposed at the last part of the paper.
