Abstract :
As test stations have grown more complex and distributed, the associated logistics for maintaining these systems has increased. This increase causes the customer to spend more money on the secondary goals of keeping the test stations ready by having large information technology (IT) infrastructures. IT infrastructures require large staffs of highly skilled employees to maintain and expand them. To reduce the staff of IT infrastructures, the software behind the infrastructure must be designed to maintain itself and adapt to ever changing situations.
