Abstract :
Summary form only given. In the present work, a diode-pumped regenerative amplifier with a cooled Yb:YLF crystal has been constructed as a booster amplifier in our all solid-state ultrahigh-peak-power laser system, and an initial laser gain and a cavity loss have been estimated in its Q-switching operation to numerically simulate a chirped-pulse regenerative amplification.
