Abstract :
A novel structure for timing recovery to be used with minimum-shift-keying has been proposed, based on a real-time multi-domain signal analysis architecture. Attractive features of the method are that it easily lends itself to a digital implementation and that its performance is not affected by the carrier phase recovery process. The paper describes the design of the timing error detection loop, loop filter and NCO design. The simulation results denote that this structure can capture the timing error quickly, can be widely used in the all-digital demodulation of MSK.
