Abstract :
Subcarrier weighting and subcarrier grouping coded modulation can significantly suppress the OFDM side lobes. However, PAPR (peak-to-average power ratio) of OFDM signal will be increased which can cause severe interchannel interference and the spectral efficiency will be decreased exponentially. To overcome these problems, a scheme for cognitive UWB system based on filtered Multitone Modulation is proposed, which can largely reduce the leakage of residual source of power by adopting uncrossed sub-channels. Analysis and simulation results indicate that the scheme proposed in this paper has much more advantages than MB-OFDM UWB system in spectrum control and spectral efficiency.
