Abstract :
This paper shows an optimized design of a Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) operated by single-phase voltage supply with only a pair of diode. Some design parameters are calculated by both mathematical calculation which is based on the FEA data, two optimized models, high efficiency model and high output power model are obtained. The obtained models are compared with the commercial single phase IM, almost all specifications of the proposed machines are higher than IM has.
