The design and implementation of process engine supporting absolute customization based on ITSM

With the arrival of information age, business process has played a key role in enterprise operation. Not only is it the description of key business of enterprise, but also it has highly significance on guiding operation of enterprise, which is reflected in optimization of resources and organizations. To be the container of business process integration, process management system has been used in many large and medium-sized enterprise. However, most traditional process engines cannot meet the requirements of modern business process management any more. They don´t provide enough support to user-customization because lacking agility and interoperability. In this paper, a process engine will be designed which fully supports user-customization according their demand. The main contributes are as follows: Firstly, the design of the process engine is brought forth, including model design, database design. Secondly, we will propose the architecture of this engine. Finally, we will demonstrate the implementation of this engine in ITSM (IT Service Management) system.
