Abstract :
The characteristics of Assemble-to-Order (ATO) product for mass customization is that it only need to assembly existing modules, and does not need to design new components. Configuration design of ATO product is a rapidly custom process with standardized and modularized components. In order to research configuration process of ATO product in detailed, the concept and the principle of configuration design of ATO product were introduced firstly. With regard to this design process, a method was presented to decompose this process into three phases and five domains. Through this method, the enterprise can implement custom design of ATO product rapidly and satisfies customer individual demands.
