Abstract :
This paper analyzes the characteristics of time-shifting service for mobile multimedia broadcast and proposes a strategy of resource scheduling for time-shifting proxy server based on predictable user behaviors. Further more, by modeling user behaviors and defining user-habit property, this paper also proposes two different prediction algorithms, the algorithm based on maximum transition probability and the algorithm based on maximum expectation prediction value, to realize the prediction of user behaviors. Both of these two prediction algorithms are proved to be effective by simulation, and the simulation results also suggest that the algorithm based on maximum expectation prediction value is superior.
