Abstract :
This paper presents a microcontroller-based solution for brushless motor control. It mainly focuses on sensorless BLDC drive systems, demonstrating how overall design work is reduced thanks to-a dedicated peripheral with coprocessor, an original sensorless sensing scheme and a dedicated PC-based predevelopment tool. It also shows how system cost reduction is achieved by the integration of traditionally external analog components (such as Op-Amp and comparators) inside a mixed-signal brushless motor control dedicated microcontroller.
