Abstract :
Fractional Winding is used for permanent magnet type synchronous machine to improve the EMF form and cogging etc. This paper report the characteristics of q=1/2 and q=3/8 (q<;0.5) especially. And the mixed coils in each phase winding we called, can give the flexibility of winding design. We report the advantages of this winging method with theory and measured data.
