Abstract :
In the paper, an accurate and efficient scheme for time and frequency synchronization is proposed for 2×2 MIMO OFDM based on wireless local area networks( WLAN) system. The synchronization is achieved by using training symbols and CP which are simultaneously transmitted from 2 transmit antennas. For timing synchronization, in order to reduce the probability of false alarm and false detection, dual threshold is used. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme performs successfully under very low SNR conditions (for example, less than -10dB) with large frequency offset. Furthermore, this structure can be extended to COMP(Coordinated Multi-Point)system.
