Abstract :
This paper presents software design challenges and solutions for communicating with MIL-STD-1553 devices using a universal serial bus (USB) to MIL-STD-1553 interface bridge. The discussion is centered on software implementations designed to provide 1553 bus controller manipulation and control of a MIL-STD-1553 remote device across a USB interface cable.
