Abstract :
Appliances such as the EPRI microwave clothes dryer are shown to be excellent applications for fuzzy logic control and a technique for developing these knowledge bases is described. A baseline knowledge base is designed and from this starting point, more sophisticated knowledge bases are created. Performance metrics and an empirical model of the microwave dryer are developed for evaluating the knowledge bases
