Abstract :
An estimator based on fuzzy IF-THEN rules for phasor tracking is developed. Both the magnitude and the phase of a phasor signal are estimated. In our simulation, it is assumed that only noisy measurements of the phasor signal are available. The estimator based on fuzzy IF-THEN rules consists of Gaussian membership functions, min-“AND” inference, and centroid defuzzification. Examples are presented to illustrate the comparisons between a Kalman estimator and the fuzzy estimator. Simulation results show that the fuzzy estimator outperforms the Kalman estimator
