Abstract
The electron work function of the ternary alloys K-Cs-Rb has been studied by means of the photoelectric Fowler method in conditions of the ultra-high vacuum. The electron work function polytherms can be described by the linear equations except for the alloy 72.7 at.% Na + 1.3 at.% Cs + 26.0 at.% Rb for which the shape of the temperature dependence of the electron work function slightly changes between the temperatures 193 and 253K. The latter can be explained by the adsorption processes within the studied system.
