Abstract :
In the era of mobile electronic devices, electric power consumption of such devices has become a major specification index, and battery endurance is a critical factor for their practicability. Mobile electronic devices have to fully utilize power management technology to maximize power efficiency out of limited resource. This paper introduces a portable power supply module, the “miniPAC Portable Power Module”, developed by ITRI, which is a system consists of voltage management ICs and is capable of providing multiple voltages and battery charging. An application scenario on the PAC Duo multimedia platform is introduced as an example to probe into the transformation efficiency of this power module. The experimental result shows that this module is of an efficiency of over 88%.
