Abstract :
A multi-Gb/s WDM research network, that uses the 1310 and 1550 nm bands, was implemented deploying advanced optical technologies over an existing fiber plant. Several ATM/SONET network experiments and service applications were demonstrated over the network using ATM switching and OC-3c and DS3 interfaces
