  • Abstract
This paper describes Dual Winding (DW) method and Interior type Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) application of Compound Magnet Motive Forces (CMMF) motor. The CMMF motor has a possibility to change its characteristics by using special magnet arrangement and its drive technique. The basic principle of DW method for CMMF is described in this paper. The method is able to utilize both series and parallel connection without changing its winding connection. The CMMF motor can enhance its driving range compared to the conventional segmented magnet arrangement motor. Also, the basic properties of the interior type CMMF motor (IPMCMMF motor) is shown. The motor is able to utilize compound flux and its interference. We compare characteristics of these motors under the same condition and show some advantages of CMMF motor against to the conventional motors.
