Abstract
In China the intermittence of wind power has become the main difficulties to achievement more wind integration. However most wind measuring data is limited in short period or local areas, which makes it difficult to assess the power fluctuation in a large region. This paper uses the wind speed data obtained from the NASA Goddard Earth Observation System to analyze the fluctuation of wind power in the main wind developing areas in China. The annual and daily wind power curves are presented for each area respectively. The result illustrated both the temporal and spatial patterns of the wind power fluctuations in China. The profile of wind power combined with the Plug-in electric vehicles charging load curve illustrated the potential synergy between the two and provides the basis for the integrated resources plan in the smart grid.
