Abstract :
The elements of a comprehensive engineering-focused metal industry motor maintenance program are reviewed, touching on motor applications, component failure analysis, predictive testing and analysis, solution engineering, spare parts inventory and control, and development of an industry-focused but plant/application-specific motor repair specification. Data from two of eight managed motor maintenance program locations are presented.<>
