Abstract :
In this paper, a novel two phase switched reluctance motor with hybrid rotor structure is proposed. Different from previous methods, the rotor is divided into two parts. Regions of the positive variation ratio of inductance can be stretched through adjusting ratio of two parts in the axial length and relative angle in the peripheral direction instead of asymmetric rotor pole. This not only solves the inherent problem of dead zone in conventional two-phase SRM, but also improves the torque characteristic by software. In the meanwhile, manufacture cost can be reduced and assembling is easily realized. Simulation results verify the validity of proposed method.
