Abstract :
In the process of cooperative engineering design, various events occur from design units. In order to effectively manage design updates among collaborators, we use publish/subscribe mechanism. However existing publish/subscribe systems only have the simple subscription mechanism. In this paper we introduce a concurrent engineering environment where the publish/subscribe relationship can be established based on the product structure. Information about design changes is encoded in feed format using proposed CE-RSS.
