Abstract :
This paper presents a comparative simulation and experimental studies, related to proportional plus integral (PI) and fuzzy PI speed control in Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM) based on the dSPACE real-time system. The control strategies have been designed in MATLAB/Simulink and implemented on the dSPACE platform. The on-line parameters have been debugged by ControlDesk. The speed responses, obtained under PI and fuzzy PI speed control, both in low and high speed, are recorded and compared for a variety of operating conditions. Finally, the simulation and experiment results verified the feasibility and the validity of control schemes.
