Abstract
Undoped and Erbium doped zinc oxide (ZnO:Er) films have been prepared by sol-gel process using spin coating method. The structural, morphological and optical properties of the films were investigated. The films have the polycrystalline structure. It was observed that the surface morphologies of the thin films are almost uniform size distribution. The optical absorption study reveals that the films have a direct band gap.
