Abstract
Considers, using the Luenberger observer, the problem of robust fault detection in multivariable linear systems with unknown disturbances. The approach is based on a proposed parametrisation for the Luenberger observer. By properly constraining the design parameters, the effect of the unknown disturbance is decoupled from the residual signal. An example illustrates the effect of the proposed approach
