Weak and strong resemblance in fuzzy functional dependencies

The study of fuzzy functional dependencies is a major issue in the design of a fuzzy relational database. Of primary interest is the elicitation of the compatibility measures taken into account when comparing attribute values. We justify the need to consider different measures for antecedent (weak resemblance) and consequent (strong resemblance) attributes, when fuzzy data are present. We also justify the importance of not having values which are too fuzzy in these attributes
