Abstract :
Automatic pavement crack detection system developed by Visual Studio C++ 6.0(VC++6.0) environment used a variety of image smoothing technology for the road gray-scale image of the appropriate pre-processing. Also, this system used various algorithm of image threshold segmentation to do a pre-segmentation of “disease” of crack category, use crack refinement technical to calculate the area and length of “disease” accurately. This system can be applied to the automatic detection of road surface defects, and provide scientific basis for decision-making of highway management and maintenance department, while can be a reference for similar fracture detection in image processing.
