  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. A novel configuration for a multi-rod solid-state laser system is proposed. Compared with conventional laser systems, the pump power dependent variation of the output beam parameter is reduced by an order of magnitude. The system is suitable for various industrial applications. A 1 kW class multi-rod laser system with the novel resonator-amplifier configuration is described.
