Abstract
Information about the spatial organization in an image is an important clue towards identifying, or interpreting the contents of the image. In this paper the authors present a fuzzy logic method of representation, recognition and description of spatial relations between regions in an image which takes into account shape, size, orientation, or more generally a region as a whole. The method can be applied equally to crisp and fuzzy regions of the image, or combinations of these. Several examples are used to illustrate the results given by this method
